Baby dedications take place once a year in April. Baby dedication is a ceremony that allows parents to commit themselves to teaching their child about Christ and raising them in a Christian manner. Registration for dedications begins in late March of each year. Northside Church dedicates children because we read in Luke 2:22-25 that as a baby, his parents dedicated Jesus. The dedication ceremony is a time to publicly make that commitment to pray for the child, love the child, and guide the child toward a personal relationship with Christ. Dedication is not baptism, but is rather a parent's commitment to God to raise the child in His ways. For more information, contact Lisa at ext. 20.
